How do I create an account?

Download Orthodate from the App Store, open the app, and sign up with your phone number. You’ll receive a verification code to confirm your identity, then walk through our guided onboarding to build your profile.

How does matching work?

Browse profiles on the Discovery screen. When you like someone, you can add a personal comment. If they like you back, it’s a match and you can start messaging each other directly in the app.

Can I change my profile after onboarding?

Yes. Go to your Profile tab, tap “Edit Profile,” and update your photos, bio, interests, faith details, and other information at any time.

What Orthodox jurisdictions are supported?

Orthodate supports 24+ jurisdictions including Greek, Russian (Moscow Patriarchate & ROCOR), Antiochian, Romanian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Georgian, Coptic, Ethiopian, Eritrean, Armenian Apostolic, Syriac, OCA, and more.

How do I update my location?

Go to Settings → Location. You can use GPS to detect your current location or manually enter your city and country.

How do I change my preferences?

Go to Settings → Preferences to adjust your relationship goal, age range, and maximum distance for discovering profiles.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom. Tap “Delete Account” and confirm. This will permanently remove your profile, photos, matches, and messages. This action cannot be undone.
