Orthodate

What’s new

Everything we’ve shipped, and why

Orthodate is built in the open. Every release that changes what you see, who can reach you or what we store gets written up here in plain language, including the parts that went wrong.

How this gets decided

The roadmap is a public board, not a secret

We read all of it. When something ships because you asked for it, the release note says so by name.

  1. You post it

Anyone can put an idea on the public board. No account on this site required, and no form to fill in twice.

  2. Other members vote

The board is public, so you can see what else people want and whether yours is the common complaint.

  3. It ships, and we say so

When something is built because you asked for it, the release note says so and quotes the request.

Questions

About these releases

How often does Orthodate ship updates?

There is no fixed release schedule. Changes go out when they are ready and tested, and anything that affects what members see, who can reach them or what we store gets written up on this page.

Where do feature requests go?

To the public feedback board, where anyone can post an idea and vote on the ones they want most. The distance options released in September came from a single post there and shipped the same week.

Do I need an account to read these?

No. This page and every release note on it are public, and so are the parish directory, the guide library and the city guides they link to.

Is there a feed I can subscribe to?

Yes. The updates feed is available as RSS at /updates/feed.xml, and the editorial guide library has its own feed at /feed.xml.

Will you announce changes to privacy or data handling here?

Yes, alongside the change itself. The privacy policy carries its own review date, and any release that changes what we collect, store or show explains that in its release note.
